The Overwhelming Power of Giving

This day has been nothing less than a gift to myself and everyone around me. I felt that each and every single one of us was courageous in our efforts to change the lives of the people of the community. We finished both projects and they both looked spectacular on every level. Not only did we accomplish our goals on this last day but we were overcome with emotions unimaginable. At the end of the day we went to the baseball field and gave up our shoes to the kids and adults who had none. It was beautiful to see their eyes light up and their hearts melt. There were families crying because that is something they have never received. After their tears came it was basically a chain reaction and the Power of Giving was immense within us all. Today will be our last night in the Dominican Republic and I want to let everyone know that I love you all tremendously and I think this will be the highlight of my summer. Thank you for always making me laugh, cry, smile, and sometimes yell, but it has been more than a pleasure to unconditionally give to the community! Baiguate!

P.S. Shout-out to Juan for making me cry, no Juan else could have.
